I just learnt that the Renault Scenic Vision is built on an innovative platform designed to integrate an electric motor, hydrogen engine, battery, fuel cell, and hydrogen tank seamlessly. With a hybrid powertrain, it offers electric-only operation for daily trips and a fuel cell extender for longer journeys, avoiding mid-trip charging. Emitting only water, it combines quiet, zero-emission driving with quick refueling, making it a promising alternative to all-electric cars.

It’s definitely an intriguing idea, but I wonder if it’s too early for hydrogen hybrids to take off. The tech is incredible, but the lack of hydrogen refueling stations makes me nervous, imagine running out of fuel in an area without one! That said, the combination of electric-only for short trips and hydrogen for range-extending sounds like it could fill a gap EVs haven’t quite solved yet. I’m cautiously optimistic and curious to see how Renault tackles the infrastructure challenge. Curious.

I agree, it’s a fascinating concept, but the hydrogen infrastructure is definitely a concern. The electric-only and hydrogen range-extending combo seems like a smart solution, and I’m curious to see how Renault handles it...anyway, this is a Jeep Avenger forum, let's keep things focused on the Avenger for now.
